American and Chinese ties strained to greater heights

Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet, travelled to the White Housen situated in Washington D.C to meet Mr Barrack Obama, the American president, the man who welcomed Dalai Lama cordially on his visit to U.S and has recognised a man they denounce as a splittist seeking independence for Tibet.Such movements are monitored by the Chinese Commmunist Party and have cast a dark shadow over the ties of the world's largest economy and the third largest, both of which have been embroiled in a bitter strugggle for dominance in the economy.
In 1959,a decade after the CCP seized the People's Republic of China, the Chinese troops poured into Tibet, which was then a country itself to capture it.Dalai Lama, who was the leader of Tibet then, resisted for independence but ultimately was put to flight, compelling him to go into exile in India. He has made his comeback to Tibet and to present,he still harbours hatred towards China and have sought for independence incessantly in these few years. This gave rise to the Tibet riot in 2009,which brought turbulence to the area, and drawing attention from all over the world to China.
Dalai Lama's visit to U.S indicates that he intends to stir up more trouble for his archenemy
,CHINA...

  2. I have read about the history of the forming of The People's Republic of China, including the episode on Tibet.China consistently claims that Tibet is part of the republic, but I beg to differ. Before 1959,Tibet was an independent state or country.Just because of Tibet's proximity to China, must China capture it?I am baffled by this. Why must the CCP take over Tibet? What's the real advantage about this.
