Comic Strip

Why did you choose the different pictures or background(s)?
It is to show the different periods of time in the war in which different events took place.
How do they contribute to the elements (plot, setting, characterization) of your narrative?
They allow the readers to see the different characters involved in the character more clearly and separately. They also can see the beginning, climax and resolution of the story more clearly, which is also depicted in the pictures I have chosen itself.
How did you make use of the different elements to contribute to the theme you have chosen?
For example, in the second picture, a human is fighting an alien.I added some common reactions from soldiers and blood was also seen spewing out of the alien. Both the character's face looked also rather distorted. All this tells us that the battle between the humans and aliens was a fierce and brutal one. This is description. At the beginning,I also ushered in a gigantic alien war machine to highlight who were the invaders. For the date, I set it at 2044 in the future so that readers can visualize that a possibility of an alien invasion in the future is existent and its outcomes, especially when more and more people believe in the existence of extraterrestrial species.

  1. Cool story. This setting would really make the readers want to continue reading. The backgrounds of the comic are very well linked to each other, and the characters and all the high tech weapons were well explained by saying that it was in the future. However, these weapons, armors and aliens would not be happening anytime near 33 years later.

  2. The comic seems rather ominous. I think you have made the right choice of pictures for an apocalyptic setting for this story. Sci-fi fans will indeed enjoy this story as the advanced technology depicted in the comic is fascinating and may materialise in the near future.

  3. nice story. The backgrounds and pictures are well linked to the story. The story being set in the future is also appropriate.but, what is the message you want to put across?

  4. nice... halo..., nice one fu man. By the way, why is the picture of master chief not straight and maybe you could put the word bubble near the characters mouth. By, I still like your story line, especially, the saying that you put for master chief, " thou shall avenge this". haha! :)
