The Blue Champions

Sorry for providing late information, but I am extremely eager to share my delight and rejoice with you.As all of you know, I am a ardent fan of  Chelsea, as mentioned in the earlier post.As the 2009-2010 Barclays Premier League drew to an end in the last few weeks, the long anticipated Blues, what people call Chelsea, did not let its supporters down and after putting up a fierce but brief resistance against Wigan(8-0) and Liverpool(2-0) in the last two matches, romped to clinch their 3rd championship title with a one-point advantage over Manchester United, the hardcore and sworn rivals of the Blues, who went on to pit against Chelsea to vie for the title. This fierce and gruel competition has come into existence since a few years ago when Chelsea rose to power. When the final whistle at Stanford Bridge shrilled, Chelsea players hung their head high in triumph and breaking out into peals of laughter, they bolted to embrace each other. It was a sweet and savoury victory for Chelsea. They were indeed a joy to watch.
Now, Arsenal and Liverpool, the other two mighty teams in the tournament, are deemed as "out of the title race" in these few years after the all the titles were bagged by either Chelsea or Manchester United.Chelsea also managed to break the record made by Manchester United last year of 97 scores with a glaring 103 goals.Ivorian marksman Didier Drogba was also conferred on the Golden Shoe award with a score of 29 goals this season, compared to runner-up,Manchester United's Wayne Rooney with a score of 26 goals.Arsenal came in third in the title race, with a point of 75 after having a 4-0 victory over Fulham on Sunday. All three teams won their ticket to the coveted European Champions League, without having to go through a few other tournaments.
Let us hope Chelsea all the best in the next season in which West Brom and Newcastle United will return and make a comeback and also more adversities will loom.Chelsea will strive for greater heights and sterling results.Last but not least, I convey my cordial and warmest congratulations to these winners.May the Blues also win tonight in the finals of FA Cup versus Portsmouth, in which Chelsea may stand a chance of a two-pronged victory this time.
