Saabatical Day 3

Having endured two days of torment, most of us were accustomed to the rigorous training that was suppressing us.We were now preparing at full steam for our performance on Friday.Today,we went on to practice the C,G,F,A Minor and E Minor cords, in addition to the other cords, like B Flat etc.B Flat is deemed as one of the many complex cords as it requires us to stretch wide between our index fingers and middle finger, thus producing painful spasms in the muscle on our palm and between our fingers. We were sucking our fingers to relieve the pain, but to no avail. What aggravated the situation was that there was any respite in between the lesson. Most of us groaned and moaned at the beginning, including me.However,"Practice makes perfect",after a whilst time,we were able to catch up.
By now,I still had some problems swapping the positions of my finger when changing cords as I find it difficult to flex my fingers.I do not understand why my fingers tend to be tensed up when I am strumming the guitar.Since two days ago, I have noticed that the instructor is an amiable, approchable and patient one.Whenever we are engrossed in our practice, he would slip around the room to monitor our progress and always render help to those with problems.I was one of those who turned to him for assistance.Without any hesitation, he would rush to me and listen patiently to my difficulties. He would then demonstrate and help me out in a pragmatic approach.Minute clarification can be made but he would still carry the bright smile on his face, showing that he was honoured to help us.He was also a driving force to our learning process and encouraged us when we encounter setbacks, telling us that it does not depend on whether we are a guitar prodigy, but it is the constant effort and endeavours that we made. Our heart would then lighten and we would restore our brimming confidence.
